Since Ford Field debuted in 2002, Sheila Ford Hamp has declared that she had sold out the team for the first time.

The Lions President and CEO, Rod Wood, has announced that a waiting list will now be in place for individuals who wish to purchase season tickets.

According to The Detroit News, Wood issued a statement after the news in which he expressed his excitement for the home field advantage that Ford Field would provide this season.

According to Jeff Risdon of Lions Wire, all six practices were sold out in a matter of hours on July 19, when they went on sale. A few fans shared stories on social media about their experiences waiting in queues longer than five thousand people to receive tickets.

The Lions had an 8-2 run near the end of the season in 2022, and they ended 9-8 overall.

This team hasn’t won a division title since 1993, but in the very competitive NFC North in 2023, they have a solid chance of doing it. The first-ever home playoff game at Ford Field might happen with a win.

Lions fans want to be there to see that firsthand, but owing to overwhelming demand, some may have to wait a little longer to secure tickets.
